Decide What You Want, Chances are it wants you Too

Decide what you want, chances are it wants you too. Once you are clear on exactly what you want in your future and you have invested the time and energy to turn that picture into a crystal clear vision for the future and you begin to take action every day to bring this vision to life. You will start to experience one of the most amazing phenomena.  The phone may ring and the person on the other side of the line may have positive news about an opportunity you can exploit, an unexpected financial windfall may come your way or some positive benefit may almost miraculously appear. You may even make a new acquaintance, who brings you exactly what you want or need, to achieve your Biggest Goal.  All these events seem to occur almost as though they are planned.

There could be a number of reasons for this happening. Could it be the universe rewarding your new positive habits, beliefs and action orientated attitude and thereby allowing you to harness all the amazing forces at its disposal. Or perhaps you are working a lot smarter, where you have been doing things differently and as a result you are getting very different more positive results. The most likely explanation though is that your subconscious is far more focused and you are far more attuned to see opportunity when it presents itself.  You need to believe that when you have the correct habit set, attitude, deep rooted belief and desire to achieve something, and you take consistent daily action, everything you need to achieve your goals will almost magically gravitate toward you.

Could the reason that you have not got exactly what you wanted until now, be the result of a lack of clarity on your part and as such, your daily actions or lack thereof are keeping you trapped in mediocrity.  Until you decide in compelling detail exactly what you want, something amazing is going to happen, NOTHING!!!!. A genius without a road map will get lost in any city, whilst an average person with a good map will be able to reach any destination of their choosing.

Your vision is your compass or the part of your success process that gives you direction. Without direction and a focused set of daily activities to help you to consistently keep moving in the direction, of your envisioned future, you cannot expect to achieve anything meaningful with your life. Until you create a clear picture for your subconscious mind, how can you expect your brain to start searching for what you need and for you to know what daily actions are going to help you achieve the outcome you want?

Clarify your vision and your values

You must clearly define your desires, they must really be important to you. When you are clear on what you really want and you have a written down vision to support you to achieve exactly that. You equip your brain to search for and discover opportunities to support you. When you create your vision, you wants or desires must not fall into the “Should be important to me category” or the “world expects this to be important to me category”.  Your wants and desires, which you build into your vision for the future, must come from deep within your heart, from that inner self. That all knowing intuitive self, which resides inside you. Once you allow yourself to uncover all the things that are important to you and you know why you want to them in your life. Nothing will be able to stop you from achieving your vision. No obstacle, barrier or setback will ever be able to stop you.

Once you determine your real desires and wants, you must then try to align these with your core values and True Life Purpose. Try to ensure that all your wants and desires are in total alignment with your integrity, moral fiber and they must fall within acceptable limits, which are in alignment with who you really are.

For example: You might want all the riches that will flow from selling drugs, but you find it impossible to convince your mind that breaking the law and destroying people’s lives is OK. Engaging in an activity that flies in the face of your True Life Purpose and your core values will never make you happy or truly make you feel complete.

Never Live Someone Else’s Dream

You must be certain that what you want, is not just another version of what someone else thinks you should want or what you think society would expect you to desire.  Learn to be ruthlessly honest with yourself and ensure that you clearly define your personal wants and desires.  Your  “must haves” are always more inspiring and will instill far more drive and passion within you than your “shoulds” ever will.

Make an I wants List

Action Idea:  A very effective technique to help you to determine exactly what you want, is to get someone that you trust to ask you the following question:

What do you really want from your life?

Let them repeat the exercise for 10 -15 minutes. Use a recording device to record all your answers. Do not analyze or question any of the answers you come up with during the exercise. After completing the exercise listen to the recording and write down all your answers.

You will notice when you listen to the recording afterwards that you answers are not very profound, but as the exercise progresses, you will be amazed at what actually begins to come out. Initially you will hear things like “I want a BMW, or I want a big house, etc.”, but as you progress through the exercise you will start hearing the real you and your real wants will begin to emerge. You will start hearing things like, Ï want people to love me, I want to truly express myself, I want to make a real contribution, I want to make a difference to the world, I want to be powerful etc.  The wants that will emerge during the latter part of the exercise, will reflect your core values and be an expression of your True Life Purpose.

Give this action idea a try, it will most certainly help you to start getting the clarity you need to start living the life of your dreams.
